History

The chapel began service on 9 March 2023. Its integrated speaker originally broadcast hourly chimes, Northu Risen, and announcements. After weather damage in early 2025, the speaker and power adapter were replaced through community fundraising. On 10 May 2025, the system was restored with weatherproofing measures, resuming regular bell chimes, hymn broadcasts, and seasonal soundtracks. The chapel has since become a resilient symbol of Duikienin’s civic life.
